At Moulders Consulting, we create tailored plastic manufacturing software designed specifically for the manufacturing industry.

With over 40 years of combined experience, our systems are built by manufacturing professionals who understand the challenges and needs of the sector.

Thanks to this deep industry knowledge, we’ve created innovative software that combines the features of MRP and ERP systems to help manufacturers streamline their processes, boost efficiency, and achieve better results.

About MRP Systems

Material Requirements Planning (MRP) is a critical tool for managing resources in manufacturing. It ensures the right materials are available at the right time to keep production running smoothly.

Here’s how the MRP process works:

Develop The Production Schedule: Based on customer demand and current inventory, the system calculates how much to produce within a given timeframe, forming the foundation of the production plan.

Calculate Material Requirements: Once the production schedule is set, the system determines what materials are needed, and in what quantities, then accounts for waste margins.

Check Inventory: The system then evaluates existing stock levels to confirm whether materials are sufficient to meet production needs.

Generate Purchase Orders: If inventory falls short, the system creates purchase orders with precise details like quantities, delivery dates, and other requirements

Track Progress: The system monitors purchase orders, tracking delivery timelines, potential delays, or other issues to ensure smooth operations.

Adjust The Plan: If there are changes in production schedules or unforeseen issues, the system adapts, updating the plan as needed.

At Moulders Consulting, our MRP systems simplify complex processes, giving manufacturers the clarity and control they need to stay competitive.

What Is An ERP System?

ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems are designed to help your manufacturing business run more smoothly. By streamlining data sharing and communication across your operations, these systems improve efficiency and create seamless workflows for your team.

In essence, ERP systems facilitate effective data transfer and information exchange, ensuring a seamless operation that promotes efficiency and delivers a smooth workflow.

What Is An MRP System?

Material Requirements Planning (MRP) is an essential system used to manage and plan the materials needed in manufacturing. It ensures that the right resources are available at the right time, helping to keep production on track.

By coordinating material availability, MRP plays a key role in maintaining an efficient workflow and ensuring that everything needed for production is in place when required.

MCL Software - Key Features

DASHBOARD – designed to give an overview of your facility – broken down into sections to include

Sales  |  Quotes  |  Purchasing  |  Production  |  Quality  |  Delivery

Navigate easily from your dashboard to access all ERP / MRP info – even through to production planning.

PARTS – see all of the information you need to about any manufactured or bought in part on one simple to use screen. Here you will have an overview of the following:

Part Details   |  Activity  |  Files  |  Suppliers  |  Allocations  |  Options

BOMS – easy to navigate and populate – able to select multiple items easily on the Bill of Material in a variety of units, including percentages to jobs which may include Masterbatch, UV Stabaliser, Powders, Anti-Microbial agents etc.

Add files, quality documents, C of C’s, and tooling data to ensure all relevant detail can be accessed in one clear and concise location.

BOMS –  You then delve deeper into the detail of the specified machine best suited for the manufacture of this component and add on any ancillaries required including robots, conveyors, dryers, and even the human resources required for production.

Add notes that are relevant to the job,  and the additional bonus of the costing calculator gives you the ability to track profitability, and calculate price breaks by relating the part cost, to various quantities, and your required margin.

JOB CARD –  All of the right information, all in the right place. The MCL Job Card clearly shows the following:

Work Order No.  |  Part Number  |  Description  |  Job Quantity  |  Drawing

Customer  |  P/O Ref No  |  Order Line  |  Date  |  Notes

BOM details, to include quantities, weights, units of measure, locations, and type of product

Tool information, including location, change inserts, and cavities are provided

Allocation of machines and any ancillaries required to complete production
