Plastic Manufacturing ERP
Moulders Consulting: We Offer A Top-Quality Plastic Manufacturing ERP
At Moulders Consulting, our software is a custom Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution meticulously designed for the manufacturing industry by experts with extensive experience in the field.
Using our background of over 40 years of combined experience in manufacturing – encompassing sales, marketing, operations, and management – we have successfully implemented numerous ERP/MRP systems within the sector.
MRP, which stands for Materials Requirements Planning, plays a vital role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that the right materials are readily available at the right time to produce top-quality products.
The MRP process unfolds through a series of steps as follows:
- Determine The Production Schedule: Formulated based on factors like customer demand and inventory levels, the production schedule is calculated by the system. This involves determining the quantity of products to be manufactured over a specified period, serving as the foundation for the production plan.
- Calculate The Material Requirements: The system proceeds to calculate material requirements by analysing the quantity of products slated for production and the materials needed for each product. This calculation takes into account a waste margin.
- Check Inventory Levels: Once material requirements are calculated, the system verifies that inventory levels are sufficient to meet production requirements.
- Generate Purchase Orders: In cases where inventory levels fall short, the MRP system generates purchase orders for the required materials, specifying quantity, delivery date, and other relevant information.
- Track Progress: The MRP system monitors the progress of placed purchase orders, keeping track of delivery dates and noting any delays or issues.
- Adjust The Plan: If changes occur in the production schedule or if there are delays or issues with materials, the MRP system dynamically adjusts the production schedule to ensure adaptability to evolving circumstances.
An effective MRP system plays a crucial role in ensuring that the right materials are available at the right time, which is a vital factor in producing high-quality products.
