Moulders Consulting: Offering A Top-Quality ERP In Manufacturing Industry

At Moulders Consulting, we offer custom MRP/ERP solutions designed specifically for the manufacturing industry. Our systems are created by manufacturing professionals, for manufacturing professionals, using over 40 years of combined experience.

Our team is made up of experts from various areas of manufacturing, including sales, marketing, operations, and management.

With this collective knowledge, we’ve developed some of the best ERP/MRP systems in the business, giving our clients the tools they need for streamlined processes, efficient operations, and better overall results.

Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems are essential for managing the materials needed for manufacturing. It’s a crucial part of the process that ensures you have the resources required to make your products.

Here’s a quick rundown of the six key steps in MRP:

Production Schedule Development: The production schedule is created based on customer demand and current inventory levels.

This step determines how many products need to be made within a specific timeframe, forming the backbone of the production plan.

Material Requirements: After the production schedule is set, the system calculates the materials needed. It assesses how many products are required and breaks down the types and quantities of materials required, including an allowance for waste.

Check Inventory: The system verifies if there’s enough inventory on hand to meet the material requirements. If there’s a shortage, the system moves to the next step.

Generate Purchase Orders: If additional resources are needed, the MRP system generates purchase orders to procure them. These orders include details like quantity, delivery date, and other critical information.

Track Progress: The MRP system then monitors the status of any generated purchase orders, keeping track of delivery dates and noting any delays or issues that might occur.

Adjust The Plan: If there’s a change in the production plan, the MRP system updates the production schedule to reflect those changes.
