ERP For Manufacturing Industry
Moulders Consulting: We Offer A Top-Quality ERP For Manufacturing Industries
At Moulders Consulting, our software is a custom Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution meticulously designed for the manufacturing industry by experts with extensive experience in the field.
Using our background of over 40 years of combined experience in manufacturing – encompassing sales, marketing, operations, and management – we have successfully implemented numerous ERP/MRP systems within the sector.
MRP, which stands for Materials Requirements Planning, plays a vital role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that the right materials are readily available at the right time to produce top-quality products.
The steps involved in MRP include:
Determine The Production Schedule – The production schedule is formulated based on several factors such as customer demand and inventory levels. The system calculates the quantity of products to be produced over a specified period, which forms the basis for the production plan.
Calculate The Material Requirements – The system then calculates the material requirements by analysing the quantity of products that need to be produced and the materials required to produce each product, while factoring in a waste margin.
Check Inventory Levels – When the system has calculated the material requirements, it then checks that inventory levels are sufficient to meet the production requirements.
Generate Purchase Orders – If the inventory levels are insufficient, the MRP system will generate purchase orders for the required materials including the quantity, delivery date, and other relevant information.
Track Progress – The MRP system tracks the progress of any purchase orders that have been placed, including delivery dates and any delays or issues.
Adjust The Plan – Should there be any changes to the production schedule, or if any delays or issues with the materials arise, the MRP system will adjust the production schedule accordingly.
An effective MRP system plays a crucial role in ensuring that the right materials are available at the right time, which is a vital factor in producing high-quality products.
