With this wealth of experience, we’ve successfully introduced leading ERP/MRP systems into countless companies, helping our clients streamline their processes, improve operational efficiency, and achieve better results.
Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems play a crucial role in managing the resources needed for food manufacturing, ensuring that manufacturers have everything in place to produce their goods effectively.
The MRP process follows six key steps:
Developing The Production Schedule – Based on customer demand and stock levels, the system calculates the number of products to be made within a set timeframe, forming the foundation of the production plan.
Calculating Material Requirements – Once the production schedule is set, the system determines the materials needed, factoring in both the quantity required for each product and a margin for waste.
Checking Inventory – The system checks if there’s enough stock on hand to meet the material needs.
Generating Purchase Orders – If stock levels are insufficient, the MRP system automatically generates purchase orders for the required materials, including details such as quantity and delivery dates.
Tracking Progress – The system monitors the status of purchase orders, keeping tabs on delivery times, delays, or any other issues.
Adjusting The Plan – Should there be any changes to the production schedule, the MRP system adapts accordingly to ensure the plan stays on track.
