Leveraging the extensive expertise of our specialists, we’ve successfully introduced a range of cutting-edge ERP/MRP systems to automotive companies, delivering streamlined processes, enhanced operational efficiency, and superior outcomes to our clients.
Now, let’s look at how these systems operate.
Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems play a pivotal role in managing the material requisites for automotive manufacturing processes. Comprising six essential steps, MRP ensures the procurement of necessary resources for product creation:
Production Schedule Development: The system calculates the production schedule based on customer demand and existing inventory levels, determining the quantity of products to be manufactured within the specified timeframe.
Material Requirements: Following the development of the production schedule, the system computes the material requirements by assessing the volume of products to be manufactured and identifying the type and quantity of materials needed for each product, accounting for a waste margin.
Inventory Check: The system verifies the adequacy of inventory levels to fulfil material demands.
Purchase Order Generation: In case of insufficient resources to meet material requirements, the MRP system automatically generates purchase orders specifying the required materials’ quantity, delivery dates, and other pertinent details.
Progress Tracking: The MRP system monitors the progress of generated purchase orders, including tracking delivery dates, identifying delays, and resolving any delivery issues that may arise.
Plan Adjustment: If any alterations to the production plan are warranted, the MRP system swiftly adapts the production schedule accordingly, ensuring operational continuity and efficiency.
