ERP For Custom Manufacturing

Moulders Consulting: Providing Top-Quality Custom Manufacturing ERP Software

At Moulders Consulting, our software is a custom Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution meticulously designed for the manufacturing industry by experts with extensive experience in the field.

Using our background of over 40 years of combined experience in manufacturing – encompassing sales, marketing, operations, and management – we have successfully implemented numerous ERP/MRP systems within our sector.

MRP, which stands for Materials Requirements Planning, plays a vital role in the manufacturing, ensuring that the right materials are readily available at the right time to produce top-quality products.

The steps involved in MRP include:

1) Production Schedule Determination: A production schedule is formulated by considering customer demand, existing inventory levels, and various other factors. This information forms the basis for a production plan, specifying the quantity of products to be manufactured over a defined period.

2) Material Requirement Calculation: Once the production schedule is established, the next task is to calculate the material requirements. This involves considering the quantity of products to be made, the materials needed for each product, and accounting for any potential waste or scrap during production.

3) Inventory Level Check: After calculating the material requirements, the system checks the inventory levels of the necessary materials. This step helps determine whether there is sufficient inventory to meet production requirements or if additional materials need to be ordered.

4) Purchase Order Generation: If there is insufficient inventory, the MRP system generates purchase orders for the needed materials. These purchase orders specify the quantity, delivery date, and other essential information.

5) Progress Tracking: Once purchase orders are placed, the MRP system tracks the progress of these orders, including delivery dates and any potential delays or issues that may arise.

6) Plan Adjustment: In case of changes in the production schedule or any unforeseen delays or material issues, the MRP system makes necessary adjustments to the plan.

MRP is a vital process for managing the materials essential for manufacturing. It plays a crucial role in ensuring that the right materials are available at the right time, which is a fundamental factor for producing high-quality products.
